Sarah Bell BEd, MA, MTA
Sarah Bell is a Certified Music Therapist and has been a valuable part of Arpeggio Music Therapy's clinical team since 2015. She has played an integral role in our mission to improve accessibility to music therapy services in southern New Brunswick.
In 2016, Sarah achieved her Masters degree in Music Therapy through Concordia University in Montréal, successfully defending her thesis paper on Indigenous healing philosophies and how they relate to her music therapy work. Sarah is passionate about empowering her clients, the field of mental health, environmental sustainability and social justice issues. In her time as a subcontractor for Arpeggio Music Therapy, Sarah has worked with a variety of clientele from infants, newcomers from diverse backgrounds, people living with mental illness and those living with dementia.
After receiving her Bachelor degree in Music Education at Western University in London, Ontario, Sarah moved to Montréal to begin her studies in music therapy. While living in Quebec she had the pleasure of working with older adults in long term care, adults in community health centers, individuals experiencing homelessness at day shelters and children with various developmental challenges at a rehabilitation school.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys baking, playing music with friends in her
band One Red Arrow, hiking and reading. Sarah also spends time creating art with her friends at L’Arche, a community for people with intellectual disabilities.
